Banking Details
When opening a trading account with MFGA, cleared funds must be in your
account prior to trading. Funds may take up to two days* to clear. Acceptable forms of
payment include direct deposit, personal or bank cheque, BPAY, EFT or swift transfer. As
required by the Corporations Act, we will hold the money you pay to us for your positions
in a segregated account with an Australian regulated bank.
MFGA, on request from the customer, can make payments to your nominated account (banking
details given to us in the client agreement). The maximum amount payable to you will be
the cash balance on your account, less any losses on open positions including deposit
requirements on open positions. In other words your free equity.
You can instruct us to pay money to you by cheque, which will normally be prepared and
posted the same day. Alternatively, we can arrange for payments to be made to you by
telegraphic transfer, which will normally be processed overnight.
Important Note:
*When making a deposit or payment by cheque, most cheques take a minimum of five
working days to clear and be credited to your MF Global trading account.
